Moral Intelligence vs. Business Success

I read Knowledge@Emory monthly (although I'm way behind; I think this quote is from the last edition).
"A funny thing happens when leaders consistently act in alignment with their principles and values: They typically produce consistently high performance almost any way you can measure it -- gross sales, profits, talent retention, company reputation, and customer satisfaction."
It's from Doug Lennick and Fred Kiel's Moral Intelligence: Enhancing Business Performance & Leadership Success (Wharton School Publishing). The quote is from this excerpt. You can buy the book here.
